Who We Are

The Friends of Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County (FOMG) was founded in 1996 to support the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Santa Clara County Master Gardener Program. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all income, less small administrative costs, goes to the Master Gardeners’ programs.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide funding for UCCE Master Gardener programs and activities through:

♥ Plant sales at spring and fall garden markets
♥ Grants
♥ Contributions

These funds are used to build and maintain Master Gardener demonstration gardens throughout Santa Clara County, and to provide materials and supplies for public education at Master Gardener-run talks, classes, and events.

We are committed to being responsible stewards of the community’s donations and to ensuring that the Master Gardener program has a diverse revenue stream.
